Story and manuscript development come alive at this acclaimed, professional workshop for authors of fiction and nonfiction. Develop your book, fine tune your manuscript, and perfect your writing in progress. Writers of all levels attend to generate new material, develop ideas, or shape their stories.
The San Diego Writers Retreat is hosted by the Rohm Literary Agency and led by NY Times best-selling author and literary agent Wendy Goldman Rohm. It is being held in our private villa, and we limit this event to 20 writers. During the retreat, in addition to all of the sessions at our 6000-square-foot villa, we'll be hosting a soiree at the Coronado hotel nearby. For the full conference schedule, go the Schedule page.
Ms. Rohm's conferences have been held since 2002 worldwide, originally inspired by the series of honorary Masters Teas she presented at Yale University. (See the Kirkus Reviews' spotlight on Wendy Goldman Rohm.)
At the conference, participating writers are guided through the creation process, fine tuning and perfecting their work--from the seed of an idea to a high-quality draft. The conference includes all sessions for five days and continental breakfast each morning. There is an optional networking soiree and group dinner each evening. (For those who can not attend for the full week, we often offer a special weekend workshop. For the full conference schedule, see the Schedule page or write to us. See the Testimonials page for reviews from authors worldwide.)
The conference includes all workshop sessions (see Schedule page), continental breakfast each morning, networking soiree in the evenings, and optional outings and dinners with the attending authors. Writers book their own lodging, but we can help you with that (write to Margaret@RohmLiterary.com).
We offer Scholarships for all of our conferences and courses. To apply for a scholarship, write to Margaret@RohmLiterary.com.
