About the
Cape May Writers Retreat
November 18 - 22, 2024
Story development comes alive at this acclaimed, professional workshop for authors of fiction and nonfiction. We hold the Cape May Writers Retreat at our private villa by the beach in Cape May, New Jersey. Develop your book, fine tune your manuscript, and perfect your writing in progress. Writers of all levels attend to generate new material, develop ideas, or shape their stories.
In addition to all the sessions described on the Schedule page, the conference includes continental breakfast and a "pitch-the-agent" session to present your story and explore its most powerful ingredients. (Our weekend workshops include lunch and a condensed version of the 5-day event.) For writers of fiction, nonfiction, memoir, plays and screenplays.
The Cape May Writers Retreat is hosted by the Rohm Literary Agency and led by NY Times best-selling author and literary agent Wendy Goldman Rohm, who works with all the major book publishers as well as TV, film and podcast studios (see full list at www.TheRohmLiteraryAgency.com). Ms. Rohm's conferences have been held since 2002 worldwide, originally inspired by the series of honorary Masters Teas she presented at Yale University. At the conference, participating writers are guided through the creation process, fine tuning and perfecting their work--from the seed of an idea to a high-quality draft. (See Lonely Planet's review.)
The conference includes all sessions for five days (or two days, if you join the weekend workshop) and continental breakfast each morning ( lunch is included during weekend workshop).
